AECS Equipment attends Launch factory training in Sydney
AECS Equipment, Sales and Technical Support Engineer Hamish recently travelled to Sydney to take part in an annual technical update for Launch products.
Alfred Wong, a well-known Launch technical trainer from Launch Malaysia delivered all material for the event.
Training was focused on professional level diagnostic scan tools, key programmers, ECU clone tools, EV dedicated scan tools, insulation testers and EV power supplies.
Alfred was able to cover the technical back ground behind Launch professional level diagnostic tools in great detail. He was able to answer all questions as well as offering tips to get deeper into these tools to get more from them.
Launch has spent a lot of time developing the programming ability for their latest tool offerings and the Launch SmartLink B&C remote diagnostic platform connectors are J2534 pass through capable. Launch server software is first downloaded into the scan tool before being written into the control unit which eliminates internet transmission failures that can corrupt software. This model allows software to be checked before install for errors while also allowing the service in areas with sub optimal internet speeds. This provides alternatives for independent repair shops who want to keep this expanding source of work in house.
The ability to clear used control units, then install new software opens up opportunities to offer a more cost-effective repair for the vehicle’s owner.
