AECS Equipment recently visited the Cosber Brake Testing and Dynamometer manufacturing plant in Foshan China.

AECS Equipment maintains a steady order book of Cosber Brake Testers installed into New Zealand’s light and heavy inspection and repair sectors. We are also excited to install our first Cosber 2WD Dynamometer very soon, so the opportunity to visit the manufacturing plant in Foshan was one not to be missed. 

The plant is impressive as is the fact that Cosber manufactures and assembles almost every component of its brake testers and dynos in house. The few components they don’t manufacture are all sourced from high end suppliers, such as the electric motors from Nord in Germany, making the finished products top quality. The manufacturing process is followed by testing and here you can see our new 2WD dyno, a full car test lane and in the background, the adjustable 4WD dyno.

Cosber’s ability to produce high quality componentry is complemented by the software they develop for a global market. Don't get me wrong, software alterations from the Chinese standard to suit New Zealand brake testing regulations requires learning a new language but once understood, any changes can be actioned from within the code. The software training gained on site was valuable but strengthening our relationship with the Cosber technical team was pure gold.

Thanks to Ken and the Cosber team for the tour, the brake tester training, and the hands on Dyno testing which were all valuable for the AECS Equipment team to increase customer service.
